Tarte Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette Review

The tarte tartelette eyeshadow palettes are known for their wearable eyeshadow shades that are easy to combine in a few simple steps. The newest addition to the tartelette family is the tarte tartelette toasted eyeshadow palette, consisting of twelve warm and cozy shades. I’m all about wearable eyeshadow palettes like this one so for today, I’m going to tell you more about the tarte tartelette toasted eyeshadow palette in a detailed review and showing you a daytime and evening look using this palette.

The tarte tartelette toasted eyeshadow palette is the third palette in the tartelette family (fun fact: I also own the other two palettes, which I both love!). The front of the palette has a blurry image of fire as a background with the logo in gold, making it already clear what this palette is all about, toasty warm toned eyeshadows. The palette made of plastic, is thin and compact and feels super nice and sturdy. I always love it when a palette has some weight to it like this one, because it makes it feel a lot more luxurious.

Opening the palette reveals a huge mirror on top that also has tartelette toasted logo shown on the bottom.  The twelve eyeshadows are in their individual pans with their names shown below each pan. Each eyeshadow has the tarte logo pressed into the powder. I love that you can immediately see which shade you’re using without having to look it up somewhere else. The eyeshadows consists of seven matte shades and five shimmers. There is a DIY leaflet included with the palette to create three simple looks using the separate rows. Each pan holds 1.5 grams of eyeshadow.

The eyeshadow formula is infused with Amazonian Clay, which is supposed to glide on like a cream, providing an intense color payoff that never gets chalky or patchy. These eyeshadows definitely swatch like a dream. They all seem to be pressed very softly in the pan, so I got avery intense color payoff in one swipe. They really all feel super soft and creamy, and also have a very delicious cocoa scent.

The eyeshadow shades of the tarte tartelette toasted eyeshadow palette are described as followed: s’more (pinky beige), sunrise (golden beige)sunset (bronze), crackle (brown with gold flecks, reminds me of the shade Sippy Sippy in the tarte Swamp Queen palette)cashmere (pale peach)warmth (terracotta)flame (metallic rust)cozy (brick)candle (champagne), latte (tan)simmer (copper) and fireside (deep plum).

It might seem like there are similar shades inside the pallet however, you can do a lot of versatile looks using it. Therefore, I created a daytime and evening look using the Halo Eye technique for both looks, only using different eyeshadows.

For the daytime look shown above, I used the shades s’more (all over)cashmere (transition)warmth (crease, inner and outer 3rd), cozy (also crease, inner and outer 3rd but more in the corners), sunset (middle of the lid) and sunrise (inner corner highlight).

For the evening look, I used the shades s’more (all over)latte (transition)cozy (crease), fireside (crease, inner and outer 3rd), simmer (middle of the lid) and candle (inner corner highlight).

All the eyeshadows that I’ve used were really easy to work with. They blended like a charm and worked well together. The colors look vibrant on my eyes and stay that way for the entire day. The only thing that you need to be careful of is a little bit of fallout, which can easily be prevented by tapping off the excess before applying the shadow on your eyes.

Like with the other two tartelette palettes, I’m absolutely loving and enjoying the tarte tartelette toasted eyeshadow palette. The quality of the eyeshadows are amazing and the colors are beautiful. I’m a fan of wearable looks so this palette fits right up in my alley. I haven’t touched the other to tartelette palettes in a while but this absolutely makes me want to use the other ones again, which I will definitely review for you as well in the future!
