WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW

The WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW is an innovative brow product that is semi-permanent and is according to the brand, supposed to make your brows look full and natural, also suitable for messy, thin and sparse brows. The product can be applied in merely two minutes and lasts up to three days, being water- and transfer proof. I’m going to put this product to the test and show you the results in this post.

The WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW makes use of hair-like fibers in combination with special treated pigments, which not only attach to the brow hairs, but also adhere to the skin for a natural effect.  The product is available in five shades: Blonde, Chesnut, Brown, Black/Brown and Intense Black. The colors can also be mixed to create the perfect shade. For this review, I’ve received the shade Black/Brown.

Inside the WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW pack is the product itself, which is in a transparant tube and contains 3 grams of product. There’s also an instruction manual in several languages and a spooly, which you will need for a more natural finish.

Opening the tube reveals a wand with a small brush, which can be used directly on the brows to apply the product, but you can also use your favorite brow brush for more precision. To apply the product, you are supposed to apply the product using careful brush strokes and comb your brows through with the spooly for a more natural finish.

The product is very wet at first, so if you make mistakes, you can easily remove it from your skin before completely drying to a matte finish in about two minutes. The thicker the product, the more opaque it gets so I would suggest to really apply a thin amount and build up the shade if needed. The WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW in Black/Brown is definitely more to the brown side and is more cool to neutral toned.

I applied the WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW in Black/Brown according to the manual, also washing my face to remove any natural oils from my skin and didn’t use any moisturizer before applying the product. I softened the product on the inner part of my brows and applied more product and the tail end and brushed everything trough with the spooly to give the hairs some definition. It was very easy to apply the product using the brush wand. I did use my own brow brush at the front of my brows for more precision. The shade is a bit lighter and warmer than I’m used to however, I still think it looks good. I like how the product gives a lot of texture to my brow hairs. My brow hairs are long but sparse and the product really fills up the gaps and give my brows a beautiful, full look.

From a distance, my brows really look very nice and natural. The only thing that bothers me is that my brows feel SO weird and hard as a rock. It’ like putting mascara on my brows on crack. They feel really stiff and applying too much product, which I slightly did on the tail end make them clump together like you’re having gum stuck to your hair. It’s something getting used to but this also means that the brows are not going anywhere. They don’t move, they don’t transfer and are definitely waterproof. This is also why it’s very important to immediately remove the product as soon as you make a mistake, because when it has dried, you can’t really remove it with regular make-up remover products.

Now for the 3-day wear test. I did apply make-up the first and on the second day. I cleansed my face with some facial wash in the morning and night like I usually do, and I even tried to avoid the brows as much as possible. Unfortunately, I already had a lot of gaps on the second day. You also now can really see very well in the picture how my brows are clumped together at the tail end. I had to take pictures for a review so I filled in the gaps using a brow powder, which worked without any problems. On the third day, the product was completely gone.

The 3-day wear test was a huge let down. I never was aggressively touching or cleansing my brows in any way and it already looks really bad on the second day. I wouldn’t want to walk out of the door with the Day 2 brows without touching up, which is also possible using the WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW. I definitely noticed that the product does adhere to the skin but not as good as on the brow hairs, so it will probably work better over days when you have more brow hairs with minimum gaps.

For me, the WUNDER2 WUNDERBROW doesn’t last for 3 days and I think that it doesn’t matter if I wore make-up or not, because I didn’t touch the brows (except using a bit of brow powder on the second day) and during application, my skin was completely  make-up and oil-free and I still would’ve washed my face like I do every day either way. I still like how the product looks for one day and it is definitely a good product for me when I need my brows to stay put all day without having to check or to touch-up. I also think this would also be a good product when you want to when going out swimming or something that involves water and you still want to rock some awesome brows.
