OPI Scotland Collection – Fall/Winter 2019 Review

OPI Scotland Collection - Fall/Winter 2019 Review

OPI has launched the Scotland Collection for Fall/Winter 2019, inspired by the striking Scottish landscapes such as the heather covered, purple hills, to the changing, warm colors of Fall leaves and the vast blue coastlines. I’m going to review and swatch the entire OPI Scotland Collection in today’s post.

There are twelve shades in the OPI Scotland Collection, available in the regular nail polish version (seen in picture), as well as the Infinite Shine version (review here). Per usual, each bottle contains 15 mL of product.

For the swatches below, I’ve used a peel-off base before applying the nail polish to make swatching twelve shades in one day a bit easier. No top coat has been applied to show you the finish of the nail polishes on their own.

OPI You’ve Got That Glas-Glow

OPI You’ve Got that Glas-glow is a Soft Lilac shade with a Creme finish. The formula is thin and applies evenly. I’ve used two coats in the swatch above.

OPI Scotland Collection - Fall/Winter 2019 Swatches

I really love the OPI Scotland Collection. It has a good range of nude, warm and dark shades which are perfect for the Fall/Winter season. There are some “general” shades in the collection that I’ve seen many times before, but there are some more unique shades available as well such as Nessie Plays Hide & Sea-k. That shade really looks like the deep ocean and I’m obsessed by it.

The quality of all the shades is perfect, they’re all easy to apply evenly and dry fairly quickly to the touch. I can easily finish the first coat on my ten nails and immediately apply the second. You still have to of course watch out to not accidentally hit or rub the nails on something until it completely cures.

My favorite shades of the collection are Edinburg-er & Tatties, Suzi Needs a Loch-smith and Nessie Plays Hide & Sea-k.

I love this collection! So many great shades , but I really love Edinburgh-Er – exactly my fall mood this season. What about the quality of mini-sized versions, are they as qualitative as full-size? I’m asking because never tried those. Meanwhile can share with you the link to nail online store, where you can order this collection 10,99EUR per bottle that makes sense in terms of saving, here it is https://www.enails.eu/it/nail-polish/opi-nail-lacquer-1/scotland.html Afterall, what tips can you provide regarding nail protection? I mean what could I do to protect my nails against chips? Thanks in advance!

I tried Nessie with a black base; almost all the blue disappeared and the result was a deep hunter green sparkle. Nice, but not what I was planning. I’ll take my chances with a third coat next time.
