DKNY Stories is a new Eau de Parfum inspired by the energetic New York City. The perfume is described as an Oriental Floral fragrance, having striking contrasts like the city itself. It has a modern feminine edge that inspires new stories every time you wear it. I’m going to review and describe the scent of the DKNY Stories Eau de Parfum in today’s post.
The DKNY Stories Eau de Parfum comes in a metallic silver, cardboard box showing the skyline of New York City seen from the Brooklyn Bridge. The bottle itself is made of very sturdy glass and looks like a high city building itself. The liquid inside has a soft pink hue. The entire exterior really shows off the inspiration quite beautifully and I think it looks very modern and classy.
The notes of the DKNY Stories Eau de Parfum is described as follows:
Top Notes: The fragrance opens with fresh notes of pink pepper and pink guava mousse.
Middle Notes: It has a floral heart of black iris and jasmine, refreshed with a tea accord.
Base Notes: Warm and sensual vanilla, sandalwood and amber create an addictive finish and a memorable story.
When I first spray on the perfume, I notice how fresh and juicy the top notes are so the pink pepper and guava are nicely noticeable. Over time, I’m noticing that the fragrance becomes more floral and warm. I’m not good at distinguishing floral scents but I do notice jasmine very well. I think jasmine can be a difficult scent to work with, because the fragrance can smell for more “mature ages” when jasmine is added but in combination with the warmth all the base notes (which I can also notice), I think the DKNY Stories Eau de Parfum still smells modern, fresh and vibrant. This is not a perfume that I would personally go for just because of my personal taste but I think it would appeal to a lot of women.
DKNY Stories Eau de Parfum is available in volumes of 7 mL, 30 mL, 50 mL and 100 mL at a variety of perfume stores and warehouses such as Douglas.nl and Hudson’s Bay.
