Pixi Rose Infused Skintreats Collection Review

Are you a fan of roses? Pixi Beauty offers an entire collection of products that are infused with Rose based ingredients. The Pixi Rose Infused Skintreats Collection consists of several skincare products that can be used in a step-by-step routine to achieve a beautiful, Pixi Glow hydrated skin. For this post, I’m going to show you all the nine steps in order and review the products of the Pixi Rose Infused Skintreats Collection.

Step 1 – Remove Makeup using Pixi Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths

The Pixi Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths with skin loving ingredients Chamomile and Rose gently removes all traces of (waterproof) makeup. Infused with soothing and hydrating botanical extracts, these cloths are supposed to make the skin feel clean and balanced after use.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Glycerin, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glyceride, Phenoxyethanol, Polyaminopropyl Biguanide, Parfum, Caprylyl/Capryl Glucocide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Camomila Resutita (Matricaria Flower Extract), Rosa Damasena Flower Water, Melaluca Alternypholia (Tea-tree) extract, Vitis Vinivera (Grape) Seed Oil.

I actually feel a little bit stupid showing this but apparently, the Pixi Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths are not available. I’ve looked through the entire Pixi Website and retailers but I can’t find them anywhere. I have no idea if these were completely sold out or if these are still being released. I just received the collection in the January so it’s very strange if they’re not longer available after such a short amount of time.

However, an alternative product that you can use from the brand is the Pixi Makeup Melting Cleansing Cloths with Chamomile and Grape Seed Oil (€15,00 Euro/40 cloths) . The ingredients list is slightly different but I think it should be comparable.

The cloths that I’ve received smell deliciously like Rose Water. It removes my make-up without my skin feeling irritated or stripped. It doesn’t remove all make-up around my eyes such as mascara residue but I haven’t found a cloth so far that is able to completely remove my make-up around that area. I really hope that this product becomes available in the future because I really enjoy the scent and most cloths make my cheeks feel sensitive.

Step 2 – Cleanse using Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser

The Pixi Makeup Rose Cream Cleanser (€23,50 Euro/135 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose and Chamomile Flower contains mineral-rich mud that helps cleanse, strengthen and soften the skin. The ingredients in the cleanser also help condition and smooth the skin, and is suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Water/Aqua/Eau, Diatomaceous Earth/Solum Diatomeae/Terre de Diatomées, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Montmorillonite, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Squalane, Xanthan Gum, Kaolin, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Disodium EDTA, Rosa Gallica Flower Powder, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Aniba Rosaeodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Leaf Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Cupressus Sempervirens Leaf/Nut/Stem Oil, Cymbopogon Schoenanthus Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Mica, BHT, Linalool.

The Pixi Makeup Rose Cream Cleanser has a lightweight, creamy consistency that kind of looks grainy. These grains do not scrub or feel gritty on the skin, I actually don’t notice them at all when applied. To use this product, apply a coin size amount and massage onto skin. Remove with a moist face cloth or rinse off with water. This product can be used daily.

This product has a very subtle rosey/lotion type scent. During cleansing and after patting my skin dry, I also noticed a Clove scent, which is also listed as an ingredient. After using the cleanser, my skin feels clean without feeling dry or irritated. I’m a fan of cleansers that have a creamy consistency like this one and I really do notice that it’s very gentle to the skin.

Step 3 – Tone using Pixi Rose Tonic

The Pixi Rose Tonic (€12,00 Euro/100 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose and Elderflower helps to tone, balance pH, minimize redness and sooth the skin. It also refreshes and replenishes the hydration level of the skin while gently removing impurities. This product is suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Propanediol, Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium PCA, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Triethyl Citrate, Rose Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Rosa Canina Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Sambucus Nigra Flower (Elder Flower) Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Betaine, Sodium Citrate, Montmorillonite, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate.

The Pixi Rose Toner can be used by saturating a cotton pad, and gently swiping the pad onto cleansed skin. The product is recommended to be used during both a day and night skincare routine.

This product has a very pleasant, warm rose scent. I’m usually not a fan of toner because I feel these types of products are too harsh, irritate and dry out my skin, but this toner does not contain any alcohol and does not irritate or dry out my skin. It feels refreshing, hydrating and leaves a tacky layer.

Step 4 – Hydrate using Pixi Rose Caviar Essence

The Pixi Rose Caviar Essence (€34,00 Euro/45 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose and Grape Seed Oil is formulated with antioxidant rich natural oils that help soften, refine and tone the skin. The product contains encapsulated flower oils suspended in a serum-essence, delivering fresh botanicals to hydrate, resulting in a radiant looking skin. This product is suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Glycerin, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinenesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Caulerpa Lentillifera Extract, Bixa Orellana Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Adenosine, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Carbomer, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Tromethamine, Chlorphenesin,1,2-Hexanediol, Iron Oxide (CI 77491).

The Pixi Rose Caviar Essence has a lightweight, gel-like consistency and can be used after cleansing and toning by applying a small amount onto skin and optionally, on the neck and décolletage area, letting it absorb. The product is recommended to be used during both a day and night skincare routine.

This product has a subtle rose water scent. I have a dry skin type and I can immediately notice my skin feeling hydrated after using this product. My skin feels hydrated, soft and slightly tacky.

Step 5 – Boost using Pixi Rose Flash Balm

The Pixi Rose Flash Balm (€34,00 Euro/45 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose and Olive Extract is a radiance-boosting balm that helps moisturize and brighten tired, lackluster skin. The balm also be used a primer to prep the skin before applying make-up, as well as a revitalizing mask. This product is suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Water/Aqua/Eau, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Propylene Glycol, Octyldodecanol, Tapioca Starch, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Stearate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol, Triethyl Citrate, Aminomethyl Propanol, Sucrose Cocoate, Glycerin, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Rose Extract, Bisabolol, Ethylhexylglyercin, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Citrate, Red 40 (CI 16035).

The Pixi Rose Flash Balm has a thick, creamy consistency. To use in a routine or as a primer, apply a thin layer onto the face and neck. With this type of use, is recommended to be used during both a day and night skincare routine. To use as a mask, apply a thick layer and leave the product on the skin for 5 minutes before removing. As a mask, it is recommended to be used two to three times per week.

This product has a soft rose scent. I’m not used to applying such a thick cream on my face but I actually am obsessed by it. My personal preference is using a moisturizing primer before applying foundation and this is absolutely a perfect product for that purpose. It moisturizes my skin beautifully and it feels like it smooths out my skin as well. It feels really heavy for someone who isn’t used to applying a thick cream but it is supposed to have an oil-free formula, so even an oily skin should be able to use this product.

Step 6 – Moisturize using Pixi Rose Ceramide Cream

The Pixi Rose Ceramide Cream (€31,00 Euro/50 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose and Ceramide is an intensive moisturizing that has a rich, luxurious formula with powerful anti-oxidants and probiotics that help give the skin a long-lasting nourishment, sealing in moisture and  protect from free-radicals, improving the skins elasticity. This product us great to use for a dry and de-hydrated skin.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Dipropylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Hydrogenated Poly (C6-14 Olefin), Hydrogenated Polydecene, Cetearyl Alcohol, PEG-20 Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Betaine, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Polysilicone-11, 1,2-Hexanediol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Methyl Glucose Sesquistearate, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Sorbitan Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Octyldodecanol, Dimethiconol, Butylene Glycol, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Ceramide NP, Polysorbate 60, Sorbitan Isostearate, Xanthan Gum, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Rosmarinus Officinali (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Propanediol, Sucrose Cocoate, Dextrin, Disodium EDTA, Echium Plantagineum Seed Oil, Caramel, Centella Asiatica Extract, Lecithin, Phenoxyethanol, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Cardiospermum Halicacabum Flower/Leaf/Vine Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil Unsaponifiables, Polyglutamic Acid, Tagetes Minuta Flower Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Betula Alba Bud Extract, Corylus Avellana (Hazelnut) Bud Extract, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Leaf Extract, Olea Europaea (Olive) Bud Extract, Tocopherol.

The Pixi Rose Ceramide Cream has a regular, creamy consistency. After cleansing, toning and using an essence/serum, this product can be used by applying a small amount to the skin.

This product smells more like grapefruit combined with herbs rather than rose, which makes sense looking at the ingredients list. Like the other products of the collection, this makes my skin feel moisturized and super soft, leaving a tacky layer. I’m not 100% sure if this product is responsible but since it is described to seal in moisture, I assume that this is the cause of my skin feeling super hydrated and moisturized continuing onto the next day. I think the effect is boosted by using all the products together, but usually a moisturizer only lasts one day before my skin feels dry again. Using these products, my skin felt soft, hydrated and perfect the day after, which is really impressive.

Step 7 – Nourish using Pixi Rose Oil Blend

The Pixi Rose Oil Blend (€34,00 Euro/30 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose and Pomegranate Oils is infused with a powerful complex of youth-preserving oils to help nourish, improve skin’s elasticity and luminosity. It leaves the skin feeling comforted and smooth to the touch, suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Punica Granatum Seed Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil.

The Pixi Rose Oil Blend can be used by massaging two or three drops onto cleansed, toned skin. You can also add one or two drops to your moisturizer before applying.

This product has a rosey orange type of scent. It is a blend of oils so of course my skin feels and stays oily and tacky after application. My skin does feel soft and nourished after use. It also looks very oily and shiny, which I don’t mind since I usually only use skincare before make-up application. What I don’t like is that it feels very greasy on me, so if you don’t like looking/feeling oily/shiny/greasy, it is best to use this product combined with a moisturizer or like I did myself, before applying make-up.

Step 8 – Set using Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist

The Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist (€21,00 Euro/80 mL) with skin loving ingredients Rose Water and Green Tea prolongs makeup wear and keeps makeup from moving and settling into fine lines or pores. The ingredients help comfort, hydrate, protect and balance the skin, suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Water, Alcohol, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Rosa Centifolia Flower Water, Caprylyl Glycol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Sodium Citrate, Centella Asiatica Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Trideceth-10, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Glycerin, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Soleirolia Soleirolii Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Origanum Majorana Leaf Extract, Fragrance, Butylene Glycol, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Pinus Densiflora Extract, Thuja Orientalis Extract, Salix Alba (Willow) Bark Extract, Origanum Vulgare Leaf Extract, Niacinamide, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Cinnamomum Cassia Bark Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Maltodextrin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Calcium Pantothenate, Sodium Starch Octenylsuccinate, Polyquaternium-51, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Pyridoxine HCl, Silica.

The Pixi Makeup Fixing Mist can be used by shaking the bottle and misting the face and neck area. It can be applied before make-up as a primer, after make-up to set and any other time to refresh the make-up.

This product has a more general flower type of scent. The product comes out in a nice, fine mist. I can definitely notice that it has a “fixing” property that some other setting sprays also have. It’s hard to explain, but it kinda feels like hair spray, I can feel my skin “stretching” in a good way. After applying this onto make-up, it does seem like powders blend into the skin better, without looking extra glowy. To me, this just sets the make-up and feels nicely hydrating. What I also notice is that Alcohol is mentioned second and third on the ingredients, but I think this a necessary ingredient for the fixing properties.

Step 9 – Glow using Pixi Rose Glow Mist

The Pixi Rose Glow Mist (€21,00 Euro/80 mL) is a dual-phase elixer packed with 7 flower oils, essential fatty acids and antioxidants. The products helps moisturize, protect and improve skins elasticity, leaving a natural glow. The glow mist is suitable for all skin types.

The full ingredients list is as follows:
Aqua/Water/Eau, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Caprylyl Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Betaine, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Illicium Verum (Anise) Fruit Extract, Trehalose, Panthenol, Eclipta Prostrata Extract, Artemisia Absinthium Extract, Arnica Montana Flower Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Viola Mandshurica Flower Extract, Hibiscus Esculentus Fruit Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Gentiana Lutea Root Extract, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Cymbopogon Martini Oil, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract, Vegetable Oil, Cananga Odorata Flower Oil, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Peel Oil, Propylene Glycol, Moringa Oleifera Seed Oil, Tocopherol.

The Pixi Rose Glow Mist can be used by shaking the bottle and misting the face and neck area. Like the makeup fixing mist, it can be applied before make-up as a primer, after make-up to set and give a dewy finish, and any other time to moisturize, refresh and plump the skin.

This product has refreshing rose water scent. The product comes out in a nice, fine mist. I love a dewy finish and this mist really gives beautiful healthy glow to my skin and make-up look. It also feels nicely refreshing and hydrating.

I’m a huge fan of anything rose (water) scented and I have a dry skin type, so the Pixi Rose Infused Skintreats Collection is the perfect skincare range for me. Like I mentioned in the Pixi Rose Ceramide Cream part, using these products, my skin feels soft, hydrated and perfect that lasts until the day after, which has never really happened to me. It might make sense since I also have never used nine skincare products all together on my face either and you’d expect that so many product better work for their moneys worth.

Either way, I think the combination of these products work beautifully on my skin and I would highly recommend to try these products yourself if you have a dry skin type and like rose type of scents. If you don’t, this collection is probably not for you. I don’t think it’s necessary to use all the products together. For example, you can easily pick either the Makeup Fixing Mist or the Rose Glow Mist, depending on your preference. My favorite picks are the Rose Caviar EssenceRose Flash Balm and the Rose Glow Mist

The brand also has an Ultra Luxe Rose-Infused Skintreats Set available if you want to try several products of the collection. The set includes the Rose Cream Cleanser, Rose Tonic, Rose Caviar Essence, Rose Ceramide Cream, Rose Oil Blend in a limited edition Pixi Rose Travel Bag shown above (the travel bag in the picture shows all the products of the collection, so you don’t get everything shown in the picture). From what I can see, this set is only available at pixibeauty.co.uk for £90.00 GBP (total value £112.00 GBP).

I would definitely get this set if you can. Not only does it save you money, the bag is the best travel bag for make-up/skincare I’ve ever seen. It  has a nice size, has two transparent sides and you can hang the bag by a coat-hanger attached to the bag. I will definitely bring this bag every time I go on holidays.

The Pixi Rose Infused Skintreats Collection is available at pixibeauty.co.uk, babassu.nl, Babassu stores and at themakeupspot.nl.

Ik heb echt met vrijwel al deze producten in m’n handen gestaan bij Boots vorige week, haha. Uiteindelijk enkel de klassiekers, de Glow Tonic en de Glow Mud Cleaner, gekocht. 2+1 gratis; yay!
